This site provides an online course which introduce the basic concepts of meteorology and air quality necessary to understand meteorological computer models. The course assumes the participant has some background in science-related fields such as physics, chemistry, or geology as well as some additional familiarity with environmental issues. Others with less experience will also find the material useful. The course consists of 10 sessions (e.g. Composition and Vertical Structure of the Atmosphere. Atmospheric Energy Budgets) providing background and introductory information as well as explanatory images and animations.
